Junior China Discovery Study Tour is a private 7-day China study tour for young learners aged 8–11. This sample program combines Beijing and Chengdu, helping children discover China through world heritage sites, cultural stories, hands-on workshops, pandas, food experiences, and simple observation tasks.

This is not a heavy history lecture or a fast-paced sightseeing tour. It is designed for younger students who need a lighter pace, clear storytelling, interactive activities, and safe private group logistics.

Students explore the Great Wall, a child-friendly Forbidden City route, Beijing hutong life, traditional Chinese arts, and the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Activities may include calligraphy, paper cutting, Peking opera mask painting, Tai Chi, dumpling making, tea culture, Sichuan cooking, and face-painting.

For mixed-age groups, tasks and daily pace can be adjusted based on the youngest and oldest participants.

In Chengdu, students visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and experience tea culture, Sichuan food, and relaxed city life. Chengdu adds strong appeal because pandas are easy to understand and highly engaging for children.

Day 1: Arrival in Beijing

Arrive in Beijing and meet your local team. The group receives a simple program introduction, including safety notes, travel rhythm, learning goals, and what students will discover during the trip.

Day 2: The Great Wall and China’s Ancient Stories

Visit a suitable section of the Great Wall with a child-friendly pace. Students learn why the Great Wall was built, how people used it in ancient times, and why it is one of China’s most recognized cultural symbols.

The guide can use simple stories and questions, such as:
• What can you see from the wall?
• Why was the wall built on mountains?

The day can include a photo observation task or travel journal activity.

Day 3: Forbidden City Highlights and Hutong Life

Visit selected Forbidden City highlights on a route suitable for younger students. The focus is on stories, colors, animals, palace functions, and daily life inside the imperial city.

After the visit, explore a Beijing hutong area to observe local neighborhoods and everyday community life. This helps students compare “royal Beijing” and “local Beijing” visually.

Day 4: Hands-on Culture Workshop and Travel to Chengdu

Join a hands-on cultural activity in Beijing, such as calligraphy, paper cutting, Peking opera mask painting, Tai Chi, or dumpling making.

After the activity, travel from Beijing to Chengdu. Transport will be arranged based on the final schedule, budget, and group requirements.

Day 5: Chengdu Panda Base and Wildlife Awareness

Visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to see giant pandas.

Students learn basic facts about pandas, their habits, their food, and why animal protection matters. The visit can include a simple panda observation task.

Day 7: Program Reflection and Departure

Students complete a simple reflection activity before departure, such as group sharing, a travel journal review, or a “My China Discovery” activity. The group then transfers to the airport or train station.
